The Pashupatinath Temple also known as "The Temple of Living Beings" is the biggest Hindu temple of Lord Shiva in the world. It is located on the banks of the Bagmati river in the eastern part of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal and regarded as the most sacred among the temples of Lord Shiva. The temple is believed to be built by the Licchavi King Supuspadeva in 6th century and was designed in Pagoda style of architecture. It is double roofed golden temple with four triple silver doorways.

The Temple is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage sites list. The most important festival celebrated in this temple is Shivaratri. The Pashupatinath Temple with its astonishing architectural beauty stands as a symbol of faith, religion, culture and tradition.
